We mainly two techniques in clinic:
P-DTR & Bowen Therapy
P-DTR (Proprioceptive - Deep Tendon Reflex)
This is a functional neurological technique. In other words, it works on your brain-body communicationsYour body has these sensors called receptors. They tell your brain what’s going on in the body.
Sometimes these sensors get mixed up, and gives you pain.P-DTR helps to reset them, so your body and brain can communicate correctly again, making you feel better and work more smoothly.
This involves a combination of stimulus (stretching, pressure etc), and deep tendon reflex (knee jerk reflex, blink reflex)

Bowen Technique
This soft tissue technique also works on the brain, but in a more general sense.
It feels like a laser targeted massage on acupressure points.
We specifically & precisely target areas on the body that's causing the compensatory patterns.
We also teach this technique through our college, find out more here:

There is also a video explaining Bowen here:

How Do We Choose Which To Use?
Sometimes we use Bowen as a 'pre-wash' for your body.
Much like taking your car to the car wash, you would normally rinse it first with water, before targeting stubborn areas.
Bowen is just like that, clearing your general dysfunctions first, before we use P-DTR to target specific areas.
In most cases, we first find out what is going on with your body, then mainly use P-DTR to target these areas.
With these techniques, we work on the wiring of your body.Think of us like the IT guys for the body!
