Rest : Resting for a short period (a day or two) can help relieve mild shoulder pain. Avoid carrying heavy objects can help too.
Exercise : Targeted exercise programs can help improve shoulder flexibility, strength, and range of motion. Gentle stretches and range of motion exercises are often recommended.
Pain medication : Over-the-counter pain relievers can sometimes help, but not always.
Physical Therapy : Physical intervention and exercises are both very effective in improving the shoulder.
