How Long Does It Take to See Results?
In our experience, results vary depending on your medical history. The longer you have had the issue and pain, usually means it takes longer to recover. Typically, you should start seeing some improvement after 4-6 treatments. If there is no noticeable change to your symptoms after 6 treatments, your therapist will review and re-examine you to find the reason.
The most common reason why you would not receive improvement would be underlying, undiagnosed medical problem. Such as small fractures, auto-immune diseases, and other neurological issues. We will discuss further and guide you if we suspect this might be the case.
Our physical body and nervous system works in harmony most of the time, given that they are both properly nourished, rested, and maintained. Your habits and lifestyle play a big role in this. If we think that there are improvements that you should make, then we will openly discuss with you.
Please remember that there is never a ‘quick fix’ to health. As much as we would LOVE to provide you a quick recovery, it is ultimately down to your body and lifestyle to accept and hasten recovery.
During your treatment journey, it is also very common to experience flare-ups, where either the same pain or a different pain increases in intensity. This is completely normal and nothing to be alarmed of. It is how your nervous system responds to new stimuli and environment. We call this the 'Toblerone Effect', where your progress goes up and down, but as long as this Toblerone is pointed upwards, then we know good progress is being made!
Once you are happy with your recovery, it is vitally important that there is an ongoing support to your body and nervous system. We will discuss with you about what we termed ‘MOT’ treatments. This is to ensure that your nervous system and body are running efficiently and that the symptoms have not returned. In most cases, we would only need to see you once every 4-6 weeks.
